Our Services
Avian & Pocket Pets: Small animals such as rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, ferrets, etc. are typically only seen when a problem arises. Nail and tooth/beak/wing trimming is something done routinely at our practice. For more specialty services, we typically refer to All Creatures Animal Hospital in Appleton--(920)739-4122.
Immunization & Wellness: "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Routine examinations and vaccinations help prevent many illnesses. Annual vaccinations are important to ensure that your pet remains healthy and routine blood screenings assure both you and the doctor that everything is being done to provide quality care for your pet. Annual stool analysis checks for intestinal parasites. Routine blood screening can be as simple as testing annually for heartworm disease, lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. Routine blood panels can also screen your pet for early signs of disease that may not be evident physically!
Surgical Services: Routine surgeries may include neutering, spaying, declawing, dew claw removal, and dentistry. We also perform non-routine surgeries such as amputations, enucleations (eye removal), pyometra (spay due to uterine infection), and others. Pulse oximetry is available for your pets anesthesia safety. Presurgical blood screening is made available to each pet undergoing anesthesia to assure minimal risk; however, it is an optional procedure and is available at an additional cost.
Microchipping: Microchipping is available onsite using the HomeAgain system. These chips are implanted through a needle, much like the needle used in routine vaccinations. A scanner is used to be sure the chip is implanted and readable. A national registration is required to register your pet so that if it is ever lost, you can be reunited!
On-site Pharmacy: A wide variety of medications are available at the clinic to ensure the best care for your pet! You can call ahead for prescription refills if so desired and they will be available for you to pick up at your convenience.
Euthanasia Services: One of the most difficult times is saying goodbye to your beloved pet. We strive to provide you with kind, compassionate service at this most difficult time. Being with your pet during this time is something that can be arranged. We also offer disposition of your pet's remains through both group and private cremation with Midwest Cremation Services.
Radiology: X-rays help veterinarians evaluate bone and sometimes tissue related systems in the pet to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Many times, this can be done without the use of anesthesia, but sometimes, sedation is required to get the best view.
Dental Care: Routine dentistry is important for not only pet owner's but also your pet's health. Dental problems can lead to more severe medical conditions in pets and simply correcting the dental problem can correct the other conditions that arise. Ultrasonic dental cleaning is done routinely at our practice. This procedure requires general anesthesia so routine blood testing is recommended.
Laboratory Services: A complete in house diagnostic lab is at your pet's disposal when samples are taken. We operate the complete IDEXX blood chemistry system so we will have most results the same day as the sample is taken. We extend these services to include routine testing of stool samples, giardia & parvo testing; as well as, heartworm, lyme, ehrliciosis, anaplasmosis, feline leukemia, and FIV screening. We also have testing sites available at both the state level with the veterinary diagnostic laboratory and Marshfield Labs. Rabies testing is also available for bats, raccoons, skunks, etc. if exposure has taken place.
Nutrition Advice: Our clinic carries the complete line of Hill's Prescription Diet and Science Diet products. We also supplement with special orders from Purina, Waltham, and Royal Canin. The complete line of products allows us to treat your pet completely. Many conditions can be controlled with a simple change in diet. Our staff is educated on these diets to help determine which is the best for your pet!
Boarding: We offer both cat and dog boarding as well as pocket pets (birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc.) for your convenience. Spacious runs and kennels are available in heated/air conditioned rooms for your pet's comfort. They are leash-walked two to three times daily and are always kept in the presence of our staff when out of their kennel. All pets must be current on vaccinations. Please inquire for details.
